Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chopped sweet potato
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 dollops peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup oats (I'll use 1/2 cup next time)

Instructions

Prepare Dough

  1. Boil the sweet potato until very soft. Drain and smash with a utensil. Let cool and add to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add all other ingredients with the sweet potato and mix until combined.
  3. If the mixture is too dry, add some lukewarm water - if too wet, add some flour.

Make Cookies

  1. Knead the dough into a soft ball and roll out to about 1/4" thick.
  2. Use a cookie cutter or a pizza cutter to make treat-sized pieces.
  3. Bake at 400º for 20 minutes and let cool completely before asking your dog for a taste-test.

Notes

Be careful about what spices you use for your doggy - make sure they're safe.

You can use many variations of vegetables in doggy treats, so mix it up!
